Monthly Meeting January 11, 2018

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor, Roger Hinrichs. There were 14 in attendance. Minutes from the December 6, 2017 monthly meeting were read and approved. Lade/Hinrichs/carried. Treasurer's report was reviewed, there is 636,883.15 in cash assets. Motion to approve treasurer's report. Lade/Hinrichs/carried. Resident issues: Rich Hess and members from the Round Trade Lake Association presented new information regarding the water quality and fish habitats of Little Trade Lake. They are asking the board for support and compose a letter to the County requesting the Seeger Properties be zoned RR-3. This would limit the lakeshore lots from to 8 in RR-3. RR-2 has 12 lots lakeside. Supervisor Lade brought up a possible alternative solution if the zoning remains RR-2, cluster housing. If this concept would be considered could actually increase the number of lots available to a max of 26 but would keep all homes away from the shoreline and create a common shared space for all to use. The desire of the town board is to provide a win/win for both developers and residents. It was decided that the clerk would compose a letter of support for RR-3 zoning and include the cluster housing concept under RR-2 zoning to the County. Supervisors will try and attend the County Board meeting next week. Fire reports: None. Road maintenance: No current road reports as Corey is out plowing. The dusk to dawn light on the Town Hall front door is not working. Our grader has about 3500 hours of use. Payment of town bills: A mistake was discovered on one check for escrow refund. It will be voided and sent with February bills. Bills with the new amount of $414,577.18 were approved for payment. Lade/Hinrichs/carried. Agenda for February:It was discussed to create a road plan which would entail a one year to five year plan for which roads would updated. Board of Review training and per diems for board members attending training sessions. Next meeting will be Thursday February 8th, 2018. Motion by Lade to adjourn, second by Hinrichs. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned. Melissa L. McQuay, Clerk
