Monthly Minutes - February 9, 2017


The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jim Melin. There were 12 present. The minutes of the January 19, 2017 meeting were read, Lade/Hinrichs/Carried. Treasurers report was reviewed. There is $914,226.58 in cash assets, Hinrichs/Lade/Carried. Resident Issues: Dave Grindell was in attendance and introduced himself.He shared his background and experience and purpose in running for Judge of Burnett County. He took questions from those in attendance. Jeff Lade has drawn plans for the shelves and cupboards to be built for the south wall of the Town Hall. These plans were finalized and he will begin production. Jeff has gotten preliminary cost projections for re steeling the roof of the Town Shop at approximately $4735 for materials. The cost of building a 20' wide lean to off the back would be an approximate cost of $7550. Jeff mentioned the possibility of purchasing a prefabricated structure that could also be used to store salt sand instead of building a lean to. There were no fire reports. Town bills of $379,069.25 were reviewed for payment, Lade/Hinrichs/Carried. Additional agenda items for March meeting include: Road Posting policy, Town Hall Project, Town Shop Project. The next meeting will be on March 9, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. There was a motion to adjourn by Hinrichs/Lade/Carried, the meeting was adjourned.  The board went to closed session to discuss hiring a clerk to take over the current clerks duties beginning January of 2018, Deborah L.
